A few weeks ago now I had some pressure on me. Just a little bit since one of my best friends is a superb photographer and this is his brother Tim's wedding. Tim is awesome and I actually work with him down at Dockyard where he is a Shipwright and beyond talented in sculpting wood in to amazingly beautiful and intricate pieces of art and furniture. I was pretty nervous although Tim and Farrah were the easiest people to hang out with for both their engagement session and wedding. Another sweet part of both sessions was that my son Joshua joined me in photographing them. I'll sneak a photo or two of him in here.
I am not the most gifted writer but all I can really say is that Farrah is an incredible balance for Tim and vice versa. These two are so committed to the long run and have been through some tremendous times together which they've realized is instrumental to them building their relationship. The wedding speeches were full of examples expressing the gratitude that so many people have for Tim and his selflessness as well as the sweetness yet ferocity that Farrah has inside.
It really is a great group of family and friends that these two are part of and I enjoyed observing it especially on the stag the week before the wedding. I was fortunate enough to know Tim and Jon-Mark and to be invited for a weekend on Cowichan. We had a great time and I got to hang out with some friends new and old. I'll share a few photos from the boys below. Men in dresses and Captain's hats FTW.
I'm pretty sure that Tim should get in to shooting. He was a snipe-show out there and was blowing the targets up one after another.
Tim faced some fears like a champ and not only bungy jumped but also did the swing. They gave him a little dip to cool off. I brought my GOPRO to capture some of the action.
On the wedding day I joined Farrah and the girls at Fish salon where they had their hair done starting early that morning.
Between the girls getting their hair all did I went to hang with the guys for a bit. Tim was showing off the gift box Farrah had put together for him including all the necessities...socks for his "cold feet," cologne, a pocket watch and a beautiful keepsake book that Farrah has been writing in for the last year about her love for Tim, the wedding and their future.
Tim and his brothers. Captured forever as teenagers in these paintings on their parents wall.
Final touch ups by Farrah's sister and getting dressed

Silly silly silly. The bridal party definitely wasn't the serious type.

This wedding was full of love between family and friends and a lot of laughs and smiles...the way it should be. Thanks for having Joshua and I out for your wedding Tim and Farrah and I truly hope that these images help remind you of the beautiful day you shared.
And here is Josh, Josh and I sharing a post wedding milkshake at White Spot and Joshua's eye capturing Tim and Farrah at the start of the Johnson Street Bridge.
Congratulations Tim & Farrah!
