Last week I went on an adventure across the world to a wedding in Cuba for some friends of mine. It meant leaving my family and my day job and one of those was easy, the other not so much. And I got some images I couldn't be more excited to share..
I've known Heather and Ty for about 5 years when I met them at Julian and Cara's wedding. I somehow got Julian and Cara to hire me for their beautiful wedding at the Forestry Museum in Duncan where I've met heaps of their family and friends. I was just starting out then and since I have shot and been part of many of their friends and now family's weddings.
This is an incredible wedding for so many reasons - the beach, the warmth, the ocean, the sun, the mojitos but what truly made it for me was being pulled in to this "far out" group of some absolutely amazing people and insane characters. I really feel as though I'm going through withdrawal from them since we spent every waking hour doing something together as large groups or some smaller ones. I really don't know if it gets any better than this...
I loved being part of the gang. Thanks for trusting me for your wedding Heather and Tyler and some most honorable mentions to some wicked friends : Julian, Cara, Craig, Christa, Kinsley, Kenny, Becks, Danielle, Kyle, Ashley Nate, Robin, Fernando & Judi!
There are two parts to this post because Heather and Tyler got married in Varadero and then a few days after we went to Havana which absolutely blew my mind. I hope that Heather and Tyler love these photos as much as I do. Here we go.
Day 2 Rest. Day 3 Havana.
Cuba, you were amazing
