It's June. I found myself driving with my wife and two kids towards the northern part of Vancouver Island to photograph a wedding in Telegraph Cove. I hadn't been past Campbell River before so I really had no idea how large this island was and so full of....trees.
This was a beautiful wedding. It was full, absolutely abounding with joy between family and friends and it was easy to get immersed in it. Mike and Melissa also invited my wife and two children to join the celebration and stay in one of the suites of a fantastic old house, the Wastell House, where the bride and her girls were staying. We had a great time and our only regrets were not being able to stay up there for longer. Telegraph Cove has a charm and we'll be back walking the wooden boardwalks next year for sure.
I had a hard time culling images for this wedding so I hope you have time. Get comfy and enjoy the photos from this perfect day.
I also want to thank my second shooter Jennifer Armstrong whose images are spread throughout this blog post. Thanks so much for all of your help Jennifer! I wish we had a photo in the photobooth.
Also, my son Joshua who stepped up and was glad to run the photobooth last minute. He's a little sharpshooter and was also taking pictures while Melissa was getting ready. He may have quite possibly had his first crush during this trip...
And now, a few pics of us
